Avimee Herbal: Success story of an Octogenarian

Introduction
Do you believe in the old stereotypes that old people don't want to work, they can't learn new things, they're less productive?
Well someone here is about to debunk these myths!
86-year-old Radha Krishan Choudhary’s days are not filled with the usual post retirement life stuff. He and his wife, Shakuntala, who is the same age are owners of a new hair oil company they created.
The couple launched a startup with the name ‘Avimee Herbal’, a company aiming to provide people with chemical-free and all-natural hair-oil. The hair oil is produced with the aim of curbing problems such as balding, hair-fall, dandruff, and other common yet crucial ailments.

Origin of Idea
Mr. Radha Krishan first heard his daughter's complaint regarding hair loss in the year 2021. The majority of parents would argue about their kids' poor lifestyles.  At most, they might blatantly recommend a few goods that might solve the problem.
But Mr. Radha Krishan wasn't the typical parent. He turned to the internet, a goldmine of knowledge, to take the concept of responsible parenting to the next level. He was immediately inundated with advertisements, academic articles, and pertinent data. He continued to be dissatisfied and made the decision to resolve things on his own.

Process
The 85-year-old resident of Surat began gathering items to make his own oil. Mr. Radha Krishan was familiar with this area because he spent his childhood participating in similar studies.
Soon after, his wife joined him in their quest to learn how to produce natural oil. They started off cautiously by first identifying the problems that cause hair loss and then compiling which herb might be the remedy for the problems.
The duo finally produced the first batch of the hair oil after numerous hours of research and trial and error. The 50 herbs used to make the cold-pressed hair oil are used in its production. All the obvious suspects, such coconut and castor, as well as some fresh and intriguing components, like olive and kalonji, are among the 50 herbs.
Mr. Radha Krishan and  his wife used the oil on themselves,  the old business owners saw that their bald area was beginning to fill with hair. They were overwhelmed by the results.
They promptly told their friends and family about their amazing invention and invited them to test it. After overwhelmingly excellent comments, the pair made the decision to enter the real market. They introduced the hair oil under the brand name "Keshpallav" in June.
Within just 30 days of the soft-launch, the pair had received more than 200 orders, which was fairly successful.
The couple gradually began to receive supportive comments on their social media accounts.Currently, after the indelible participation of Avimee Herbal in Shark Tank, they have managed to double their turnover without any additional marketing costs, which speaks volumes about their work.

Benefits Derived
Amidst the pandemic, when the entire world was witnessing havoc, with hard-core determination and deep-rooted research, Radha Krishan and his wife transformed Avimee Herbal as the ultimate remedy for numerous skin and hair-related issues. With an amalgamated mixture of ayurvedic and modern ingredients, this Holy Grail claims to help prevent premature graying, baldness, dandruff, and hairfall and enhance the overall growth and texture of hair.
Due to Avimee’s mouth-to-mouth publicity marketing approach, which stated that their result-oriented work will do the magic, the startup stands to cater to the population via 27 products of hair and skin care, as opposed to 3 products in 2021.

Loopholes Encountered
Often, we draw the conclusion that a product is good if there is an association with esteemed personalities and develop a sense of superiority within ourselves. Same happened with Avimee when none other than MIRA KAPOOR, wife of Shahid Kapoor, featured Avimee Herbals on her social media account as a one-stop solution for varied hair and skin-related affairs. But there are various loopholes encountered by customers, such as:
  1. As the consistency of the oil is slightly viscous, it leads to increased application of shampoo to get rid of the oil stains, and if the scalp is oily by nature, it is just a lose-lose situation.
  2. People with migraine, sinus, and other issues who cannot withstand strong fragrances are not recommended to use their products as they may trigger headaches.
  3. Imbibement of various external applications to get rid of issues should be marketed along with teachings of intrinsic nourishment through working on one’s own lifestyle, healthy nutrition intake, and the mental peace that comes with meditation.

Moral of the story
"Many people asked me: When people retire at 60, how did you start a business at 85? I tell all of them—I have removed the word retirement from my dictionary"—this sums up the story of Nanaji, who with his three decades of extensive research on Ayurveda had an undying spirit to resolve hair-related issues of not just his daughter but of an extensive Indian population. And this is not the end, as Avimee Herbal is all set to launch itself in Dubai this year to fulfill its aspiration to become a global brand.

It is your desire and attitude that define you in life, while the myth of age is once again broken, this time by an octogenarian 86 years old!
